The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 我跟你们讲，独行月球这个片子，最后一定扑街。
娴熟精准的拍摄手法拿捏了受众的情绪阀门，全场不下20次的该笑笑该哭哭，剧情上不断地反转和解构，不能说完美无瑕，但能看到做到了极大的飞跃，细节的处理和衔接流畅，另外，结局的渲染和bgm加持烘起来了强烈的离场感，有些喜剧是好的，但是看一遍也就够。
《月球》《火星救援》《流浪地球》…肉眼可见 比比皆然对一众科幻前作或学或仿地运用与调侃，融合却不违和地制造荒诞娱乐，已然完成任务。你们崇尚昆丁借鉴老片推陈出新的能力，也要承认开心麻花效仿经典独辟蹊径的本事。只是前者走暴力美学路线品味高级，后者玩庸俗烂梗喜剧市场下沉，钻碳之差尔。
尬笑加硬煽情，全程配乐轰炸没断过，核心还是上世纪追女仔的陈旧思维方式，人物失真，模仿痕迹重，情绪输出为零…（反思是不是这十年人们的日子越过越苦闷，小品电影才成了最有市场的一种，很悲哀啊
守个寡吧！说真笑点不多，甚至有些笑点十分之尴尬，冲着你喜剧去看，好嘛结果以为你喜剧，却是个悲剧，我是个俗人只想开怀大笑，我承认我low，但是你这样的作品只让人感觉更low，甚至让我有种被骗的感觉，很失望😞没以前作品好看

我笑不出来……感觉不是笑点高不高的问题，就是真的很低智，全员莫名其妙情绪低落，转头又毫无理由亢奋无比，拯救沈腾的计划看起来没有半点靠谱，却又硬凹出严肃的大场面。全片并不适合讲一个庞大的议题，不要求有多缜密的逻辑但你不能把观众当傻子。我还以为全球直播给沈腾配音那里会有出彩的喜剧效果，看完真心觉得太差了。最后，答应我，喜剧片不要再乱煽情了好吗？我不想听说教不想看到无意义的升华，来影院看本片堪称我2022最大的错误之一。
这部电影唯一的用途就在于嫁接了各种经典电影的桥段来煽动，鼓舞和暗示观众的情绪，可惜这只是电影的手段并非目的……
逃生舱左躲右闪三俩下就给密集的陨石撞得遍体鳞伤，等到人一出舱反而毫发无损，科幻窟窿姑且不论。

无法理解说这片煽情的观众，根本不煽情，情绪把控很好。想了解什么叫煽情，请去欢乐喜剧人3-7季学习。带着三星的期待去看，会有超预期的收获。

对小学生来说有点幼稚 但是对大人来说刚刚好() 我本人真的是minions爱好者 卡通电影真的只看这个 笑点挺多的而且minions好可爱啊 满满的中国元素好评 文化输出了有木有！我也不懂为啥不让上←_←坏人的故事有点普普 最后的鸡汤也feel到了
“含腾量”这一说法也该到此为止了，用腾把两个钟头塞得满满当当也没法掩饰全片的尴尬。ps：把二十年前某部日本特摄片大结局的关键剧情用来当煽情片段也是够离谱哈
